BOOK

HAY’s furniture and accessories, simple, elegant, and affordable, represent a perfect balance between quality and economy. The brand’s deep connections with the art, food, fashion, and cultural communities, combined with its vibrant use of color—from icy pastels to Memphis primary hues, from rich jewel tones to lively near-neons—ensure that flagship products like the Mags sofa, Matin lamp, About A Chair, Palissade collection, and Sowden accessories collection are always on trend.

In 2002, husband and wife Rolf and Mette Hay founded their eponymous company, forever transforming Scandinavian design. Driven by a desire to make exceptional design accessible to everyone, they created HAY, a brand that reinterprets functional items like sofas, cutting boards, towels, and toothbrushes, turning them into vibrant pieces that enrich everyday life.

To celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary, a visual monograph was published, exploring the origins and extraordinary growth of HAY. This book includes the close partnership with Herman Miller, collaborations with an ever-growing number of brilliant designers and design companies like COS, IKEA, and SONOS, and the aesthetic alchemy that makes HAY’s products and retail environments so unique.

The book also features exclusive interviews with five designer couples: Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec; Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien; Shane Schneck and Clara von Zweigbergk (who also designed the book); Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen; and Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi.
